Hoarding and barricade wraps in banner vinyl and PSV

What the job demanded

A temporary circuit is put together from whatever the route provides: plywood hoarding, concrete barrier, fence line, all of it outdoors and none of it prepared for graphics. Surfaces are dusty, often cold, sometimes damp, and adhesive behaves badly on every one of those conditions. The build happens against a live schedule on public streets, so panels have to go up quickly and in a fixed sequence. Once the event runs, the same graphic has to work at two completely different reading distances: legible at speed from across the track, and clean enough to stand up to spectators standing directly against it. Then the whole thing comes down, which means adhesion has to be strong enough for the weekend and no stronger than the substrate can survive.

How it was produced

Coreflex media covered both halves of the package. Banner vinyl was used across spans and fence runs, where a flexible sheet can be hemmed and tensioned mechanically rather than relying on adhesion at all; pressure-sensitive vinyl was used on the rigid hoarding and barrier faces where a bonded finish reads better and cannot flap. Printing ran UV-LED, so the ink is cured hard by ultraviolet diodes as it is laid and the print is outdoor-ready without waiting on a drying cycle, which matters when artwork approvals land close to load-in. Banner elements were hemmed and grommeted for tensioned fixing, adhesive panels sized to the barrier module so joins fall on existing breaks in the structure, and print files built with the long viewing distance of a circuit in mind.
